In remembrance of the September 11 terrorist attacks, there was a ceremony before the game. Local police officers held a huge flag while bagpipes played "Amazing Grace." Meaningful and touching, especially how careful the officers were in not letting the flag touch the ground.

The Mariners game was a blast. The Mariners lost (I think) but it was more about the atmosphere than the competition. Great food at Safeco Field - fish & chips, garlic fries, kettle corn, clam chowder, beer of course. Bummer for Gina, though - they were sold out of veggie dogs. We had great seats, and the Moose hung out for a while in our section. Funniest story happened after the game - Greg almost bought a t-shirt for each of his daughters that said Seattle Marijuaners or something of the sort.
